Golden Milk or Turmeric Milk is considered in Indian and Asian medicine as a remedy that has numerous benefits, helping to:

-boost the immune system,

-relieve joint pain,

-has an anti-inflammatory effect,

-improve heart function,

-reduce blood sugar level,

-prevent cancer,

-and other.

This magic milk is available for everyone to make.

Golden Milk Recipe.

1 cup of natural organic milk (use plant based if possible);

1/2 cup of warm water;

1/4 tsp of each of the spices: turmeric, ginger (can use freshly sliced), cumin (originally is not in the recipe);

1 green cardamom bean, broken (or powder);

1 clove;

a pinch of freshly grounded black pepper;

1 anis star, broken;

Optionally you can add some honey, vanilla and, if using plant-based milk, add some fat to it (coconut oil or ghee).

I also add some natural cocoa powder at the end ( it’s nice!)

Combine all the ingredients (apart from coconut oil or ghee) in a stainless steel saucepan and bring them to simmer for about 5 min, stirring all the time. Use low heat. Strain it into a cup with a sieve if using whole spices.

Add coconut oil or ghee.
